About the Forum

International trade does not need another organisation. It needs organisations working together more effectively. The Forum exists to make that collaboration practical: to bring the institutions that support international trade into the same room, on the same initiatives, with a shared view of where the opportunities are.

The Forum brings together government stakeholders, chambers of commerce, trade associations, business organisations, financial institutions, professional bodies and strategic commercial partners. It does not replace any of them. It is the connective layer between them.

Its scope is deliberately two-way. A UK business expanding into an international market and an international business entering the UK are the same problem seen from opposite ends, and both are served by the same network of organisations. Every corridor the Forum develops is built to work in both directions.

The Forum is independent. It is not a government body, and it does not speak for one. Its role is coordination — convening organisations, developing trade corridors and creating the conditions in which practical commercial opportunities arise.
